I have a disk doctor? and it works pretty good. I have also taped cds to a board and used the high speed buffer and polishing compound! I got some very trashed disks to work perfectly that way, but I would warn anyone that does not have a ton of automobile polishing experience to stay away from that trick.

I tried the metal polish & toothpaste trick . They work on one of my cd players . But i have'nt tried them yet on the one were they acctually skipped . Thats the one i take to the track . I have to assemble the unit . So i'll try it latter.

I just tried the cd on the player that it skipped on . It still skips but not as bad . . So i will have to stop by the video store .

James that machine is a little pricey.
