If the thief has any sense, they will sell it in parts. While looking on ebay, craigslist, etc for your Muggy, also look for parts lots.

Good point, that motor alone will stand out like a sore thumb (I would recognize the grind job on the shaft, at very least).

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

Try craigslist? Make a wanted ad on craigslist saying you have cash in hand and you want to buy either a 1717 or that you are looking for a Muggy. If you say you are looking for both it might be a little fishy and chances are the person who stole it won't know what the 1717. Is the truck branded at all so whoever might sell it would call it whatever it's branded?

I have a friend that had a bike stolen and did just this and apparently the person who stole it was on craigslist trying to find people to sell it to without actually posting an ad that he had it. He actually got his bike back.

Good point. 99% of people wouldnt be able to recognize the muggy for what it is unless you had the factory body on it. If they know RC's though, the shock size could make them list it as one of the other more common Losi's though.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES
