I'd go w/ the MMM 2200 combo w/ 4s lipo or similar tekin... if you already have the Novak just find the sweet spot w/ gearing to keep it alive or maybe keep the motor and pick up a MMpro or tekin ESC instead. If you didn't already buy the losi conversion I know amain hobbies has the 8ight 1.0 tekin electric conversion for 69.99 That is by far the best deal going.. but depending on the motor you may need a new motor bracket.. if that is the case you can always get the Tekin losi 8ight 2.0 conversion (costs a bit more) but you can make yourself a losi 8ight 1.5, only new items you need are the longer center drive shafts (f/r). Good luck.. I've run a 8ight 1.0 w/ a MMM combo and a Medusa 60mm, both were great and did very well racing.

8ight-e (B&T) MMM - Hyperion Lipos
Ofna Hyper SC 10 Pro - Medusa 4800kv

i had great luck with the hv-pro 6.5 in my truggy on only 3cell lipo (sound slow but it isnt)

they may not have the torque that the CC or tekin has but i was having no problems pulling away from the nitros at the track
