Its a decent motor. I have raced my 8ight against a novak powered one, and the power delivery just isnt the same as that of castle/tekin.... Your best bet is one of those two

Some have had good success with the Castle Creations Mamba Monster 2650 combo on 3s in buggies, if running 4s a lower kv motor is a better option. The Novak combo will get the job done but lacks alot of the power that other systems have. Honestly the Novak HV motor isn't to bad but if you choose that motor I would look for a better esc as the Novak esc is the wink link in that combo. The Novak HV motor with a Tekin esc would be a pretty nice combo with smooth power that would be an easier transition coming from Nitro. The Castle Monster combos and the Tekin combos have tons more power than a nitro and you may have a hard time getting used to the extra power
i have a losi 8 1.0

I'd go w/ the MMM 2200 combo w/ 4s lipo or similar tekin... if you already have the Novak just find the sweet spot w/ gearing to keep it alive or maybe keep the motor and pick up a MMpro or tekin ESC instead. If you didn't already buy the losi conversion I know amain hobbies has the 8ight 1.0 tekin electric conversion for 69.99 That is by far the best deal going.. but depending on the motor you may need a new motor bracket.. if that is the case you can always get the Tekin losi 8ight 2.0 conversion (costs a bit more) but you can make yourself a losi 8ight 1.5, only new items you need are the longer center drive shafts (f/r). Good luck.. I've run a 8ight 1.0 w/ a MMM combo and a Medusa 60mm, both were great and did very well racing.
