I'm really wanting to try one of these ESCS on a HV setup (8-10s) but 100amps? It just doesn't seem a lot.

And I'm really unsure how to calculate the amp draw of a setup. Can anyone explain it for me? Or the theory of running HV setups at low amps?

Thanks,
Nick.

Say it takes 1000W of power to make your truck go a certain speed. Your could produce that power at 10V with 100A OR you could do the same thing at 20V with 50A. Voltage is doubled and current is cut in half.

Having less current draw is easier on the batteries, produces less wasted heat, among other things.
