Jatos can handle speed obviously, but the tranny might not like the high torque of BL. Traction is the hardest problem I have with my Jato; the tranny (with single speed option) has held up fine so far.

For all out speed only, wind whatever motor you plan to use to it's max rpm. Use higher voltage (3s or 4s), gear up, and let 'er rip. Just don;t use something like a 1512 or whatever; that much torque is sure to blow the tranny apart unless you are easy on the throttle.

Silly Brian You always read like half of the question. He's not converting a jato, he's racing a nitro jato with his tc3.
