Not really, that's the manual I have here.
And yes "just pull off the cover" is what I thought, but if it was that easy I wouldn't have startet this thread

Believe me, this is really not as easy as it should be.
I don't want to use pliers or the bench vice, because with that I would probably damage the diff...
