I don't have a lathe but I know someone that does. Yes Dafni I do believe they are hardened. And you are right Hotcold there won't be much left for a set screw but Serm has a good idea about the ring. I think I will see if my friend will try it and if it's not to much trouble I will have him do a few extra.
