Thanks for the advice guys. would you consider 20/44 (stock) gearing conservative?
as for speed runs i do open it up but never hold it there. its always off and on, but im not afraid to top it out with my 4s lipos right now.

You should be ok but alot of peeps here would say go down to a 18t or lower pinion for safety.
