I also love rc to the point that I am always thinking of how to improve the ones I have. Let's see..I have 2 on going projects..a MRX-3 conversion..not likely to be finished any time soon and a Slash 4x4 overall that hopefully will surprise even a few here!

I have slowly gotten some of my closest friends into the hobby again even though it has cost me personally quite a bit of money. However, seeing their 40 yr old faces light up when their rigs go screaming buy makes it worth it.

RC has been in my blood since I was a teenager and been there ever since and forever will be.

Find happiness - 09.20.2010, 08:24 PM

You have to find happiness in your own way. If selling off some of your stuff helps you reach that goal then good for you. I know what you mean about the helis. I have one of my own, but hardly fly it. Our boys have them as well, but are always waiting on me to take mine out. I prefer the MTs because of the easy fixes you can do on the run. Most of my Maxx gear is quite valuable in my eyes, and the builds I have going are top qulaity and unique in one way or another. Not sure how things will end up for me, but I have no intentions of getting rid of anything unless something serious forces me to do so. My wife loves walking into our R/C shop seeing what I have created and seeing the joy on my face working in my very own shop. We were speculating last night on how much I will miss this shop when we have to transfer next June, and whether of not I will have a space in our next house for another R/C shop. Life goes on.

As for social scenes I am quite happy being home with my family. Going out partying ends up being a blur in your past anyway. I have a very select few friends, and they are lifetime friends, so my hobby has nothing to do with them. We do still go out occasionally when the Embassy has events, but rarely feel the need to go out unless a special event is going on. We do go to the movies when new flicks come out, and those are free for us. Anytime we go out we call it date night. Even the wife hopes to be involved with R.C at some level.

SUPERMAXX YOUR LIFE.
