You don't need zip ties to lower the suspension. The free way to do it is to use the downtravel limiting grub screws in the a-arms. They contact the chassis and determine how far the a-arm moves down. Just screw them in until the desired ride height is achieved. Zip ties will do the same thing, but are more awkward.
