I did the cut and paste thing for the driveshafts on my stretch chassis Revo, it worked well. Except for the one shaft that came out of the mold bad from the factory, didn't notice it until it slapping the chassis from being out of balance. The thick shafts normally for the wheels will work in the rear. For the front and the lack of room the steering assembly makes, have to use the thinner shafts. Up front mine was double the length and it held up great.
Yep. no one wanted it so I figured I would finish it up.

I think the revo driveshafts will work fine, just need to make sure they are straight so I do not have the issue you had.
