If it has overlapping seam along the side it is pretty easy to open. The old trakpowwer and losi hc lipos were like this.

Best way I found: take a small flat blade screwdriver and push the blade into the seam in the middle of a long side. Should seperate slightly. The take the same tool and hold it like a knife and slide the side of the end of the blade along the seam. Should pop open as you go. Corners can be tricky so be careful. Worked on 2 dozen or so cases, and I did not damage them at all.

Throw them in a buggy and hit the track, they will open right up. Then get some good strapping tape.
