Dude, I'm not quite sure what you're talking about here, but I think you need a new barber. I didn't know what a "comm cut" was, so I googled it and came up with this guy:



If this is you, then you definitely need to make a change - tell your barber you no longer want the "comm cut" and go for something else. And he's ripping you off if you have to go back every 2 weeks for a new cut.

Another thing, when you say "a cleaning here and there" - the way most of us clean our hair is when we take a shower, is that what you're talking about?

And the "occasional brush swap" - I'm not sure it this is coded language for something kinky or not, but I'll tell you that I've had the same hairbrush for the last twenty years or so - I think it's made of genuine horsehair - but let me say that you get what you pay for - so you need to invest in something that will last.
