Just because they do a recall, you do not need to send in. Even in the recall notice, it said most will probably work fine through their life. I can't account for Knez's wait, Figure they were researching the problem before either replacing or repairing. His was a repair or replace, so it wasn't a victim of the recall anyways. I admit it should have been fixed before the recalled HV160's though
