I bash all my r/c's this way. With a properly geared setup the esc will handle any torture you throw at it. That's why we check temps often with a fresh build, and adjust accordingly.

It wasn't his driving that killed the esc, it was a bad esc, and the manufacturer suspects a bad batch of capacitors is to blame.

Ha! There is no shame in my game

My point was that Castle bashes on their esc's in testing because they know most consumers will. (I have Castle in mine, and realize he was running a fighter cat)

I make sure of a proper cool running setup and do have some common sense.

I seriously doubt his driving style had anything to do with the failure as you suggested. If it did, it is a very poor esc.
