Actually, higher timing can increase motor rpm to beyond the kv*voltage calculation. How much extra speed vs how much timing vs wasted heat takes some experimenting though.

If you want get to a 100mph quickly... you can try a 7700kv motor on 4S... the vid below demonstrates this with a TC4... I drive a touring car on 2s with a 7900kv motor and it is quick...
you will need to watch the temps though...
