I might go with one of the Tacon 3650's with a lower kv (3500kv or 3930kv) - can't beat the price on those. Gear it like the vxl (3500kv) or a little lower (with the 3930kv) as Neil posted.

So another question! what is the difference between the 3650 onroad motors and the 3650 motors they say are for offroad on hobbypartz website?

I already planned on trying to get a lower kv but ive been hesitant to order one that says onroad. Thanks!

Some are labeled Leopard, some as Tacon - by all accounts, they seem to be the same motors. I would order by size and kv and not worry about them categorizing some as on-road and others off-road - it makes no difference. If I were buying a motor for a Rustler right now, I'd grab one of the Tacon 3650's they have on sale.

ok so i figured ill order up the 3200kv motor. So now i have ANOTHER question lol!

I'm working on on a brushless conversion for my Rc10 gt and have a shortcourse chassis and 1/8th scale buggy tires. I plan on running 2 and 3s and also the Tacon 3650 3200KV motor. How big of an esc should i be looking for? is a 35A going to be too small?
