My 'Pede needs BL power... - 06.14.2006, 03:07 PM

I was thinking of gettin an Mtroniks Pro and a 6L and run it on 3S Lipo. About what speeds would I be getting w/ this set up? And what gear should I run? I am also thinkin about the 12s after I read someone got up to 57mph on it, that is some insane speeds and that what I want, could the 6L do that? Anyways thought Id put up some pics of my pede, it has some FLM parts and the usual upgrades it has a dogbone conversion, going to see how that works out. I run nitro rush arms up front to line up the rear w/ the front and run wide offset rims all around, still waiting on some big bore shocks for it...

3s lipo might be a little too much for the 6l, and thus it will heat up quite a bit, but I'm sure it will be able exceed 50 mph.

I agree that 3s may be too much for the 6L. The bad thing about that motor is that it's kv doesn't match up with lipo very well. 3s is too much, and 2s is too little. 8 NiMh cells at 9.6 volts would probably be ideal.

With that said, I run a 12s with 12 NiHm cells or 4s Li-ion, and it is FAST! Over 50 mph with no overheating so far.

You'll have no problems with the 6L on 8 cells.

BTW, I'm the one that's been advertising the 12s hitting 57.5mph :).

On top of that an 8 cell flat pack fits perfect on the chassis. I just got done converting all my packs to 8 cells.

Your stampede looks just like a rustler sitting low like that. As a matter of fact, I think my rustler is sits up higher than your pede. :D

Ya I like it sittin low, but its just a matter of moving the shocks into different positions to have it sit like a monster, thats the beauty of FLM shock towers and arms.

Yeah, I like the FLM arms to, but mainly because they widen the front and rear while making them both equal at the same time. I've yet to bend one, but they have caused me to break a lot of other weak points.
