MGM and Schulze for me all the way.
Are the newer MGM's any good? Out of all the 1/8 scale ESC's that I've ever had the MGM cube design ran the coolest. It just had rough software, but by far has been the coolest running ESC. I'm finding that out after buying other controllers.

When they come back in stock these are the latest software version. They've been sent away for the update which should solve the slight problem they have with the throttle input while coasting, basically if you're coasting and you blip the throttle lightly they brake momentarily.Basically it tries to bring to motor down to the level of the low throttle imput.

If the update has solved this then they'll be a very smooth esc and in my opinion the best available.Mine is otherwise very smooth(with the drag brake off and the freewheel on)They are a very good quality unit, and mine has been robust.i had it to 200F(my fault-no ventilation and 3000 watts)and it shrugged it off.It reduced the rpm as it should and then after letting it cool it was good to go.

They have suffered from software niggles but these are getting/have been solved and you can send them in for free updates. The LVC is the best since it's manually set for cell count so you can trust it, and can be set to slow reduce rpm or hard cut off.

I think all things considered they're the best choice. The schulzes are butter smooth, incredibly so with a 19 series, but have no LVC(they have but it's too low) and customer service is non existant by all accounts. And the price.

I'm going to have my 16024 updated and i'll probably buy a second one aswell.
I'd jump on the updated ones when they come back in if you're after a new esc.
