I have that one, it kept locking in to full throttle and shooting off, had to take it off.

Ouch! That could be bad if you're not expecting it! If you pull the label off, is there a little surface mount potentiometer on there? I'm thinking you can set the throttle position with this, kinda like you do with an external failsafe. Just a thought.

It was bad because you didn't know when it was going to do it, so I had to go really slow, lol.
Not seen anything under the label but it definatly feels like a malfunction/interference rather than programming.

Yeah, i contacted dimension engineering about it a few months back. They told me it would be fine to use it on a truck.

I'd like to get a hold of one of those to see if it could be easily modded (any donors? :)). Since it goes into full forward when triggered, it simply puts out 2ms signal pulses to the ESC telling to go full bore. If an adjustment was added to reduce this to 1.5ms, it would go to neutral instead. You could also set it to put out 1ms pulses instead so it goes full brake instead too...

or full reverse :002: depending on how you have the ESC setup
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

True. I guess my point is that it would be nice if it was adjustable to whatever application...

Per Serum's suggestion, I got one of these and run it on my 5s Maxx. It works great, ONLY if you don't have reverse programmed.

How do you mean reverse programmed? On the ESC? I have the 9920 in reverse, maybe that's what gave me the throttle problems.

Yup, that would do it! Sounds like it would work great if you have reverse disabled.
