This actually is a self-contained video camera, no wireless needed. This is the one I've got:

You can probably find a better price on it out there. I got mine from woot.com for $29 I think. I don't think I'd reccomend it, as the framerates are really pretty bad.

Yep, I did mount it on the side of the wing. It's designed to be mounted on the side of a helmet, it has a big rubber stretchy band to secure it to a helmet. I just pulled the strap tighter and I was good to go. I'll have to try again with it pointed a bit higher so there's more picture and less wheel.
