Thanks alot all. Should I be opening up my diff and greacing it( with what, some kind of really heavy special stuf?) every few months?

a ball diff has to be cleaned out from time to time. and re-greased.
and for 1/8th scale diffs you will be searcing for the right oil quite often if you go to different tracks.
if you only bash or keep the same weight oil it should last a couple of sessions. then it will collect some metal particles and is best replaced with fresh fluid.:027:
forgot to mention:
ball diff with white silicone grease specially for main diff balls and the trust washer with trust bearing grease.
from losi these are normal withe and for the trust a sort of brown grease.
for asso they are white for the main balls and black for the trust.:p
