Where did you get the RPM mount, do you have a link to it? I'll certainly give it a try since I'm a firm believer in using as many RPM parts as possible. Not sure what I'm doing different, but my aluminum pede doesn't hold up to my abuse nearly as well as the plastic one. Right now it is setting in a box with banana shaped A arms and bent hinge pins all around. Plastic will flex and still keep its form. I still brake parts sometimes but they are easy and cheap to replace. Maybe its just the lower weight of plastic that saves me. The biggest problem I have is the caster blocks. I barely found out about the aluminum blocks from hobbyetc.com. The caster block is certainly a part that needs to be aluminum so I'm going to give those a try. I'd do the aluminum bearing carriers as well but I never break the RPM carriers so its probably not needed.
