Your beat me to my next question. I bought a regular steel 32p 13T today for testing with the buggy sized wheels. That should be good with my high KV (6400) motor.
I guess I need to get fabricating tomorrow. I need a motor and battery mount. I'd like to buy the motor mount on this site, but I'm not sure it will be stiff enough for the steel spur to pinion interface?

Ahh...very nice work with the calc. So, (3.25 is the final trans ratio for the diffs x 46T stock spur) / 12.0 or 13.0 = about a 12T pinion. Now I know what to order.
Thanks again!

FWIW, the bore reducer Mike has now are steel and look really nice. They fit perfectly without being hard to insert, yet no slop. Pretty accurate.

I don't know, I have a MM5700 already for it. What do you guys think; 10L or 5700? I am looking for a good 35-40mph setup. I'm leaning towards the 10L...
Thanks!

For that speed, I'd go with the L personally. And if you decide to go with the larger tires, you'll need it because of the added weight.

Cool, now I'm looking at 10L and the 9L(which one?). BTW I should have the crt.5 later today!

Much like yours, but I don't know yet, I'll have to build it first...

I really don't see why you guys don't think a standard length motor will do 35-40 in it? Hasn't there already been someone on here that has a 4600 in theirs that went that fast?
IMO, a L can motor is still way overkill for a small vehicle like this. I'll probably be putting a GM-Racing 5.5 in mine using a bore reducer. It's close to the kv of a MM 5700, but IMO, it's a much better quality motor than the MM motor.

Has anyone sorted the Kyosho spur issue yet?

If you are going to use 2.2" tires, the added weight and overall "gearing" because of the added tire diameter, I would go with the 4600 on 3s and use a 12T pinion. Even then, things may get hot.
Nope, no plastic spur option yet.

I'm not sure if you were responding to my post or not, but I don't plan to run truck sized 2.2's, nor 3S in mine. I'll be using a Trakpower pack and the stock tires.

Yeah, I was responding to you, sorry for the confusion. :)
If you are using stock tires should be fine with a 5700 on 2s, geared with a 13T pinion.

I'm not going to use a 5700, but the GM-Racing I'll be using is 6100kv. I ordered a 12T and 13T, so I should be able to hit a good middle ground with one of those. I'm running the same motor in a T4 at 38mph with temps under 140F for both the motor and ESC after 30 minutes of running in low grass in 90F weather. With the 12T pinion, I should realistically be around 35-36mph, but will have to keep a check on my temps to see how the motor handles it. I'll definitely throw my GPS on it when I get it running (hopefully this weekend since my pinions should be in by then).
