$35 and a good amount of space would be wasted. it'd have fit in my pede, and i would be tempted to go 6s
why not? its not the temptation to go 6s its the ability.
it is actually a almost the right size for a pede. all you need is a aluminum plate. and mount it where those 4 holes are for the msc servo are on the pede chassis. and mount the mmm to it, is the perfect size
IF you want to use the internal bec in the pede buy a short servo extension wire and remove the red wire. By doing this you can remove the extension when the esc is in the pede and still run the internal bec, but when it is in the Maxx you can use the extension to eliminate the red wire.
You can also use some micro deans so you don't have to solder the bec straight to the battery leads. By doing this you can use the bec in the Maxx, but you can have the option of not using it in the pede.
IMO these are the best ways to use one esc in two cars.
I'm going to get a medusa for my E-Maxx. The vxl in the .5 is awesome, but it needs pretty tall gearing. I am using 12/46 (I think) and it is really slow (24mph). with 20/46 it will go 39mph.
WOOO!!! Ok, just clarifying that an extra cap goes pos to neg on the batt wire of the ESC? I'm trying to convert a VXL system to 4s...am i a flaming retard? pls?! lol
Check out my FS thread in the General Discussion!! Help me go lipoly!!!
I'm selling a MM that the prevopus owner said did 5s fine. It has a novak cap. PM me for details.
4s is easily doable. I was running 14 nimh cells and the temps weren't too bad. It preformed better than my Quark did before it exploded for the milionth time.
