Are you bashing or racing? Depends on what u want to do...

Use this:
http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/_top_speed.html

Plug in the numbers and figure out your gearing for about 38mph... That should be plenty to bash and race with.

Why don't you just run the 4s packs, I'm sure the truggy is not going to care about sharing.

i dont know the truggy is pretty mean at times. I would rather the buggy had its own packs, that way my wife can run with me and not have to worry. so can 20c do it or does it need 25c

Why don't you just get more 4s packs you can interchange them and still have enough for each vehicle? The CC2650 will do fine on 4s geared way down (like an 11-12 tooth pinion), but it will still draw a lot of amps and give you short runtimes. I personally have switched to the Tekin T8 1900 kv buggy motor which is much more suitable for racing on 4s. But if you want to save money, the 2650 combo is cheaper than buying an esc and motor separately and 3s is the most suitable for racing with that motor.

There is no use even asking the question 3s or 4s, the higher the voltage the better. Just go with 4s, and be done with it, keep it simple.

just spend $40 and get a 4s turnigy 5000mah lipo. if geared for the same speed as 3s, it will draw less amps.

whether you use 3s or 4s, the turnigy 20c packs will do just fine. most people i know who have them claim they are 25c or even 30c. if you MUST run 25c, just spend $43 and get the 5000mah 3s 25c packs. (i have the 25c flightmax packs which are the same except for the discharge wires and the max i have temped them on my 17-18lb savage geared for 50mph is 102F)

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
