What is the reason not to buy the new MGM 16024? (cheaper, and better service)

I thought promod put his controller (schulze) over quite some abuse when it comes to voltage..
I already have the 149.18, Serum. BTW, how much will the MGM cost? I might get it in the future, though I'm planning on using 32 cells with my future truck.

the only thing now that i don't like about the mgm is that they force you to use 3.5mm gold...

That does not look like a problem, dude. Do you want to hardwire it?

If you are planning on running 32 cells, you might consider selling the schulze and take a bigger one. Takes away some risk for sure.

I too think that the 3.5mm plugs are too small. I contacted MGM about it, and i was told that it was more relavant for boats, because boats take a higher constant current.

On the other hand, i like the idea of a loose cable between the motor and the controller. (lehner 19/22 series no high-amp) these motors also use plugs.

I'll get the 3695 e.s.c in the future, if possible. What is the rpm limit of this cont.?

Right now, the best controllers ,allover, are the Micro series( especially the 20150 and the 36150). The 160.40 e.s.c is very big and stupid in terms of design, in my humble opinion, while the 36150 ( though it has the irritating rpm limit) still managed to keep the traditional design of the bk controllers without enlarging it. Plus, its a bit cheaper than the schulze. How much does the 36150 cost? its not listed in the store.

490 or 499, just ask Mike if you want to know for sure. 24 volts and the setup you had in mind with the new MGM should be okay too, according to MGM it should be around 300 euro. (350-360 dollars)
