Strange. I would not want to run one even if I got payed for it. You want to control a monstertruck with brushless with a cheap servo. Can't be any more wrong than this.

Read the storie's on ue forum. They hate these servo's. No customer service if you smoke one.

Be wise and spend the money for a better servo. It's not worth to smoke out a receiver or even a controller due to a cheap servo.

How would one smoke a receiver or even a controller with one of these servos? I've smoked several of them myself, with absolutely no adverse effects on my other equipment.

If there was a dead short from the factory, maybe the reciever, but i find the controler hard to believe as well

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I'm actually interested in checking one out as well - all my trucks run a 645MG at the moment and I haven't managed to strip one yet! Hitec has an A+ in my book!

For me, the gears in the Blue Bird servos aren't the weak links, the electronics are. What I do now when I burn out the electronics in a Blue Bird is buy the regular plastic gear version and transfer the metal gears from the burned out servo into the new one. It saves about $5 per servo!

I had one of those as a steering servo in my old Nitro Revo and it worked great... for about 20 minutes.

There was a thread over at the Traxxas forums, and after much talk, it seems that the electronics are very sensitive to overheating if trying to drive a hard load. Some people recommended setting the EPA so it won't "bottom out" at the ends of its throw. That seems to work...sometimes. Funny that other brand servos don't have this failing. They either are designed to handle the extra current at a stalled condition, or utilize some other type of electronic protection circuit.

As the old saying goes: You get what you pay for. Maybe it would work well if you used a really weak servo saver to keep it from stalling under heavy load; but then you'd be negating any benefit from a strong servo. Best to buy right once rather than to buy wrong twice.

I'm not totally sure about smoking a controller, but read the thread I posted. Some guy smoked a 70$ receiver and didn't get it replaced by blue bird. So yea if you use the bec on the controller and the servo does go......

Just pointing out potential problem's. I don't trust them, and neither should anyone. You get what you pay for, junk in this case.

I use the BMS 630MG in my 1/8 buggy. I set the end points correctly. The servo is working great!

Well my opinion they are crap for monster truck. I think they can't handle the huge tires. I have heard people run the with smaller trucks no problems. Then again the load on the servo is greatly reduced.

Peace!
