No more heat.... - 07.07.2013, 07:46 PM

After encountering heat issues with my GTP I tried several options, from changing the gearing to changing the motor and the gearing. I finally rested on affixing a push fan to blow on the lower part of the ESC and hooked it directly to the battery connectors. I cut out the bottom and connected a fan. I also cut a hole under the the fan through he top plate to increase the air flow. Got around to some test and tune in the heat and finally got through several speed runs with no top fan activation. I made a few modifications to the chassis and loosen up the pinion/spur mesh and put the 24 back in and like a beast it screamed. I am considering putting the 2200 back in but I like the 1520 in there. It gives such a wicked sound on 5s as it streaks by.
