All I know is that both my son's Stampede, which included a Futaba radio, and the Photon (I think it uses a Futaba-based radio although it doesn't say it) both needed to be reversed.

hello,
i have tried to do what everyone has recommended with no results. my digital camera is down so i will describe my set-up.

- double battery positive wires soldered to a deans plug's positive
- double battery negative wires soldered to another deans plug's negative
- double wire bridge from the positive of one plug to the negative of the other
- all shrink wrapped
- using 2 x 7.4v 8000mah lipos

double motor wires:
- 5.5 plugs - one lead soldered into the plug
- second wire soldered to outside of the plug and shrink wrapped
- connected to motor

- UBEC positive soldered to positive lead and negative solderd to the negative lead

- both bridges removed

futaba 2pl radio with throttle channel reverse - i beleive the controller can't find neutral on the radio and cannot get it to recognize either the motor or radio. endpoints are at 100% and trim is at 0. tried an associated xp radio system with no results - will be trying a jr system tonight or tomorrow.

really confused - i everything seems to be solid and done correctly.
thank you for all the help
jim

There should not be any plugs removed from the controller's receiver leads. If these are removed, reinstall and try again. To program - both the black and red jumpers should be removed. Upon completion of programming(before unplugging the batteries), the red jumper gets reinstalled. Unless I am misreading this, it seems like you pulled a couple leads from the controllers rx lead, which may be the trouble(and would explain why you have the same problem with any radio you try).

Yes, if this is the case, the controller doesn't know it has a signal.

All you can do now is try another receiver/transmitter and please let us know how it goes.

It may sound stupid(and I know you aren't a rookie), but make sure the rx lead is properly oriented in the receiver(though with Futaba style plugs you really can't screw it up, the warrior has a generic style "fit anywhere" plug). You may have to try the reversing of the throttle channel as well.

last night used a jr synthesized radio and a m8 and the damn thing wouldn't program. just used the ubec and the mamba maxx controller i had for a gt2 conversion i started. i tried to hook up the mamba maxx 5700 motor to the esc, resoldered all the connections and tried with every radio i could find and not response. what should i do with this expensive and useless piece of electronics smash it? send it back and wait forever to get it back?
any comments would be appreciated.

thanks to all that have given me help

that's more than odd; two controllers in a row that don't programm on your gear. Can you please follow Nieles' advice on the pics?
