So monster mike if i did send you out my non working 9918 and you could somehow fix it, what would you charge to do something like this? I really want to get back up and running and don't want to spend another $200 right now on another speedo.

Depends on the damage. If it takes me a few minutes, I will gladly fix it for you. If it takes me a few hours, I would hope for some compensation for my time. I have fixed a few, so I may be a bit more qualified to fix it than you are and I am offering this because I want you to be able to enjoy the brushless experience!

Thanks monster mike, you really seem like a nice guy. I will gladly pay you something if you can repair it, just as long as its not as much as a new contoller would be. How and where should i send it?
