I've used both hydra hv 180 and ICE hv 160 and saw no real differences in performance (driving and temps are good with both). I've gone with the ICE because I like the data-logging capability.

Ahh, good to know. data logging is nice, but I have the hydra already and do not have much more than 150 bucks tied up in it (trading = success). I am still on the fence of what platform to run the hydra hv 180 and cc 2028 motor in. I had a baja (gas) and really did not care for 2wd in that size vehicle. Maybe go with one of the redcat 4wd offerings?

Will not be till summer. Other stuff needs to be finished before then!

I'm also thinking that I need a 4x4 1/5 scale truck.
My truck does ok with the big tires on it and locked rear end, but still not a 4x4 truck.
