Running MT bowties instead of the 40 series should help a lot with your weight. Lower capacity, higher C batteries would also trim a lot of fat.

Well, having a bigger motor makes the weight difference. You also need to beef things up too. The motor can push its weight though, or should be able to. Just remember speed + weight + crash = MEGA DAMAGE!

mine used to weigh around 13lbs....now it will way less then that now that I'm switching to a gmaxx chassis...and a few other things as well....should lighten it up ...

There are many ways to lighten up a MT, but at what cost. You still want it durable, just a key thing to remember.

Remember, the Revo's are heavier than a Maxx. There alot beefier than a Maxx and that is why they weight 10lbs. on average.

Yup, a tad heavier. If you take a stock emaxx, a stock revo, you can tell the difference, but it's really not that much in weight.

my maxx is about 10 lb's RTR with 16 cells.

Actually, with 12 cells, the E-Maxx is heavier in stock from...BUT...an electric Revo is a good bit heavier because of the added weight of the batteries.

Well revo don't make stock Electric's. but you know what i mean! LOL. A revo with batts is beefy though! i agree with ya Squee, jsut not that significant in weight difference though between the stock emaxx and e revo..but the revo would be heavier. Now Nitro on the other hand, is usually lighter in any model than electric models....but BL still kicks their arss'

I'm gonna go to work right now and weigh all my parts piece by piece.... I should be back soon... :) but the stock tires and beadlocks feels really really heavy....

Savage RTR 12 cells: 12lbs 8oz

What beadlocks do you have? I had some of the Proline 40 series ones, and them paired with bowties weighed around 370g per wheel I think. Recently I've been running Savage tyres on RPM rims, which is a lighter combo, by around 100g or so I'm fairly sure.

Brushless LST with 7XL, and 9920. 12 IB 3800, 6.652Kg(14.66Lbs)... I have no mods on this LST absolutely nothing.. it's so heavy still.. all plastic parts too
