Where did you get the Turnbuckles that go from the Wheel axle to the bulkheads?

I kinda thought in the back of my head that you would break it because I knew the BigMaxximum would do it.

It looked good and sturdy but not sturdy enough hehe.

How do you like your BigMaxximum anyhow?

Mines similar and I've tossed my truck around a few times and yet to hurt anything. Trial and error. My wheelie bar is still far from being good lol.

But I give you 100% style points!!

I wouldn't say the design sucks, Andy. Perhaps it just needs a slight revision. :)

And if you revise it, please include my idea of making a cross brace on the lower two shafts that hold the wheels, making it rigid sideways.

When you tip over, and you start rolling on 4 wheels (someone with a monstertruck knows what i mean.. ;) ) one sideimpact on the wheelie bar will instant destroy it.

Perhaps the flex that was in it, did caused binding on the shaft inside the shock, resulting in what happened. A shock doesn't bent when it is pushed in straight. (or the oil, that was used in it ws to thick)

You said it was a UE servo saver?

What parts are you using for the front and rear turnbuckles, front skid plate and body posts?

I still think it's a great idea. Maybe a shorter shock (revo?), and a slightly different design would do the trick.

Yeah, how do you like the Pletty?

You surely need a crossbrace on the lower two arms, to prevent the shock from the stress it has to stand in the current design.

Axles - 04.23.2005, 07:32 AM

Since I bend one axle an at least 3 pillow balls (titanium ones) I decided to go for the 8mm axles and the steel pillow balls.
I hope this stuff will last longer....

That is one way to give it less flex,

Those things, on the end, are they from Conrad? (if so, you can also get them in left-threaded )

You can loose those things as well, it would become some lighter as well. You don't need it to hinge anymore, now you made it rigid.

How did you mount the antenna mast?

Can you provide a pic of it?

Thanks

No bashing intended, just for the illustration.
