I have been pleased with all of the products I receive from Scorpion. Out of hundreds and hundreds of outrunners I haven't gotten one single bad one, not one blemish. Of the few ESCs they have worked great for a great price too.

I like how the owner of Scorpion seems to want to build a very nice car controller. I gave him some ideas and he liked them. After I'm done installing the heat sink and fan, I'll send him photos of it. I sent him a photo of a very nice heat sink/ fan combo and I hope he uses it. I'll see if I can do the changes to this ESC ASAP and get it out for some more testing.

Now let me explain the ugliness. I was going to use shrink wrap, but most of the controllers I have with shrink wrap seems to make it shrink some more. So I had some of that Self Fusing Silicone Rubber tape here and decided to try it out. One advantage is that it will withstand higher heat and it should harden a bit in a few hours. You can also see that it makes for a much more water tight application. It also smells like my uncle's rubber factory . I will find my on/off switch and add it to the fan and use my rx pack that's already in the truck to run the fan. I don't need the rx as the BEC on this controller is just doing a great job and hasn't failed yet. Hope your guys enjoy my Frankenstein job .

It is 6S. Scorpion will be changing the PCB to make it a better controller and the HV ones (12S and 15S) will be available soon as well (I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the HV ones).

Just came back from a quick run to see what was improved with the Heat Sink/Fan combo. I must admit, I've extremely impressed now. The controller performed very solid and didn't get hot at all. It was just warm and I guess the heat sink/fan made the difference. The Mega is getting a beating and it is just an awesome little motor. If Mega comes out with a sealed version of the ACn22 series, I'll be adding some to my collection.

Yes, I've been talking with him for a while now and I gave him some of my ideas. Georges is a great guy and he is open for suggestions. John, this controller changed after I installed the heat sink and fan. It's a monster now. I changed a few things on the setting and I'm going to try the reverse function, changed timing from auto to 15 degrees and I will see what the Motor Start Booster will do. I hope he can use the MOSFET I suggested and I will wait to see what he says.

When you get bored with that one, I will take it off your hands if George will allow. I want to see how well it starts up an outrunner in a bind, more specifically the motors that George makes for me! I suppose I should just email him direct about it.

Which Mega are you testing with. I use Mega is some of my planes and I do like them. I almost got one for my E-maxx but went cheap and ordered a Medusa instead.

The ESC have forward/reverse/brake? If so can it disable the brake? I really think a 8S is what I need. I run A123 packs and 6s1p is a little short on runtime and 6s2p is kinda heavy. 9s1p would be just right, And a 8s lipo will handle 9s A123 just fine :)
