the guys at kershaw Emailed me saying they have some kind of center diff with slipper on it also.... I'm anxious to see what that is.... but that slipperential looks so awesome.... maybe instead of the new RC, I should get a mill instead.. :)

Taig has these mini manual mills for around $1500.. and around $2000 for cnc... I gotta do something.... I already have my bags packed... headin' to Mikes Later today.. :) j/k

LOL say hi to Mike!

having a mill is one thing, knowing how to handle a CNC is a different bag.. It's hard to find it out if you don't have got anyone to puppy-train you..

UE steel cvds with 8mm axles are much cheaper and much stronger.

so they're stronger?.... cool... they're thicker than the MIP ones right? Because I've worn out many MIP ones.... I wonder if the Genesis or LST CVDs would fit... they're pretty thick.. I don't wanna use my custom 10mm anymore... just too heavy..

The UE 8mm cvd's are the toughest I've seen. Even the 6mm UE's are plenty tough.

LST shafts are not thick?

the difference between the UE 6 and 8mm is only the output shaft..(the part that mounts to the hex./wheel one is 6, while the other is 8mm. you also need knuckles that fit the bearings needed for the 8mm's.

You are correct.

That is why I have UE 6mm. I have the 15mm racer-X knuckles. Ever see a 8mm x 15mm bearing? I haven't! I've wondered if it it possible to bore out the knuckles to accept a 16mm bearing but it looks to me like Robin reshaped the 16mm knuckles and enlarged the bore rather than just enlarging the bearing bore alone.

hmm... I guess I'll just stick to the 6mm to save the hassle... but doesn't the rpm knuckles support the 16mm bearings?...

No, they do not support 16mm bearings, only 15mm.

PER THE RPM WEBSITE:
http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/product...2.htm#knuckles

T/E-Maxx 1.5 & 2.5 Axle Carriers
T-Maxx 2.5R & 3.3 Owners - Click Here for the proper Axle Carriers for your truck.

Stock bearings and axle carriers aren’t quite strong enough to handle the punishment T/E-Maxx owners dish out. In addition, more strength is needed at the axle carrier when offset wheels are used or when aluminum accessories and oversized wheels & tires add more weight and stress to the driveline. Once again, RPM steps in where no one else has! We have completely redesigned the axle carriers for the maximum amount of strength and durability and included some seriously beefy 15mm. bearings to top it all off! Check out this incredible list of features:

RPM Axle Carriers
Stock replacement – no modifications necessary for RPM carriers to fit.

Larger bearing bores that accept RPM Oversized 15mm. bearings.

Includes four RPM 15mm. bearings in the kit – nothing more to buy.

Beefier, thicker walls and ribs for the ultimate in crash protection.

Double-ribbed steering arm / toe link arm for undeniably stronger and more rigid steering control and toe angle stability.

Stepped front surface to prevent plastic wheels from hitting the axle carrier under high cornering & jumping loads.

Molded from our bulletproof and lifetime guaranteed blend of nylons for unsurpassed breakage protection.

Molded in black, blue, & purple, as well as a dyeable white, that will allow anyone the most versatility with respect to color choices.

Stock 12mm. vs. RPM 15mm.

RPM Oversized 15mm. Bearings
A full 15mm. in diameter – that’s 3mm. larger than stock!

1mm. wider than stock bearings, with 2 bearings per axle, that’s an extra 2mm. per axle of contact with the axle shaft for smoother, longer-running performance.

100% Stainless steel construction for rust free dependability and its longer-wearing characteristics versus chrome steel bearings.

RPM Bearings have friction-free blue nylon seals for the ultimate in dirt protection and can easily be cleaned using our RPM Bearing Blaster (#81170).

Actual bearing ball diameters are a full 33% larger than stock.

RPM oversized bearings have more than twice the load rating of stock chrome steel bearings and have over three times the fatigue life of stock as well!

Prelubed with lightweight oil for efficient & minimal rolling resistance.

RPM axle carriers are sold in pairs. One truck will need two pairs to cover all four corners of a T/E-Maxx truck for complete, RPM bulletproof protection. RPM replacement oversized bearings are sold in sets of four bearings per package.

Tech Notes: Associated MGT owners can benefit from using RPM Steering Knuckles / Axle Carriers by combining these axle carriers with our #80010 Pillow Ball Setscrews & Bushing Caps. This package comes with spacers that prevent the bearings from binding on the MGT. Read more here.
