Do I Need the Capacitors on back of Brushed Motor? -

Do I need to use the capacitors on brushed motors? I have a spektrum radio system and I thought the capacitors were just to help prevent radio interference and won't the spektrum be glitch free since its 2.4ghz ? Or am I way off here?
Ok I just got the kershaw kit and it came with capacitors and says to solder them on ....I will put them on then...it says to run them in water to break in, does everyone do this with brushed motors ?
Never heard about running in water??? I usually just hook the motor to 2 d-cell batteries (3 volts), and let em run till the battery dies. You can do the same thing if your charger has motor run feature, set to 3 volts and run a while (until brushes are seated).
I've never heard of breakin in water. I'm familar with cleaning a well used brushed motor by running at low voltage in distilled water. You'd be surprised at how much gunk comes out - use a big shot of nitro cleaner and re-oil everything. Usually used on a motor thats gone downhill in an attempt to get some of it back. I've had mixed results.
Water break in makes a huge difference. It's basically like what duster said. Depending on the size of the motor hook it up to 1 or 2 d cell batteries and run it in a glass of distilled water (not that it would make much difference). You will notice a huge difference compared to stock motor. I did it to a speed 300 motor in my mini t and couldn't believe the difference it made. It has to be done right from the start though. Look it up for a more detailed explanation and for how long you should do it for.
