Unhappy FLM Bybred and steering interference - 06.21.2008, 11:03 PM

OK my struggles to get my truck fixed continue.

Order after order I run into a issue. So here is the deal this time.
Since I blew the rear diff I upgraded to the FLM hybred bulks. Previously I had gotten a Proline Tmaxx steering setup. (replaces the cheap servo saver)

Anyways now as I reassemble I have a issue with the linkage hitting the Combo bulks. Its the crosslink that connects the left to right side of the steering.

I I flip the bar over to the otherside of the arms. Things start hitting the Front skid plate.

Any idea's on how to fix???

gmaxx360 I bet you solved it with the UE

tdc I will do a photo later today. I moved the bar to the other side now it hits the skid plate. I am thinking about just dremeling the skid.

Sorry, to lazy to take a pic so far. I desided to dremel the skid plate... then I found out that was a bad thing to do as the wheels would toeout when the suspension flexed. So I went back to the way I tried it the first time, and guess what it did not hit any more. I wondered why, maybe the proline part is not drilled in the center... who cares it fits now. Except the skid plate is weakened. Guess It will work until I order a new one.

:) :) :)

Sometimes the drag-link bar hits on the ends of the hinge pins, so you need to do a little dremeling on the drag-link so that it clears.
