Savage Flux Jumping Video - 02.12.2009, 03:36 AM

Here's a quick video of me running my Savage Flux out back of my LHS. We used a snow drift as a jump to launch it over the garbage bins behind.

Not all jumps were successful though as you'll see, but all I broke was a rear turnbuckle end. (Just the plastic piece)

Click through to watch the video in higher quality. I don't know how to embed the higher quality version in the thread.

Auch, all those crashes

Nice vid, and yes he's very strong, if all trucks would be that strong you don't have to buy any spares, haha

Greetz,

It's hard to get enough speed up to clear it when you can't get any traction. But I am definitely impressed with how well it held up. Especially when it went cartwheeling after I did clear it.

Ouch I'm feeling bruised and battered but seriously thinking about a savage - no way a revo would have taken that abuse.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing. That truck looks tough as nails! To survive that kind of beating in freezing weather is quite remarkable.

that's a hell of a beating esp in such cold weather... I like the sounds of all the dumpters banging as they are getting slammed into
You got some seriously long hair too lol

Compared to the 3905 emaxx the wheelbases are pretty much the same but just by looking at the vehicles side by side you can see how much more beefy and rugged the flux looks. Still, I'd have a hard time driving my rc's like that vid.

Why didn't you just drive a 1:1 truck over it and save yourself the time

The jump was fine, it was the road of ice leading up to it that caused me the issue. I could only ever get decent traction right before the jump so I had to be light on the throttle until I hit in and hope the sudden burst of traction didn't send it off course.

And I made it four times including the times it bounced off the lid and over. Unfortunately I think only two of those times were caught on video.

I bought this RC to bash, so damn it, that's what I'm going to do. Worst case scenario, I break something, upgrade it, then I'm back running.

I hear ya. I run my Slash that way. If it breaks, I'll just either replace or upgrade that part.

I wasn't being critical, if that's what you surmised. To each his own. It's all about what's fun to you. That looks like fun to me too btw, it's just I have a hard time getting to that point.

I'm not allowing myself to hop-up my Slash and it's killing me. I'm keeping it bone stock for spec class racing so I'm forcing myself not to install any hop-ups. I swear I'm addicted to RC Hop-Ups.
