Wing? - 08.02.2005, 10:49 PM

I was looking to mount a wing on my E-maxx. I know Dace Mfg. has a shock tower for it but is there any other way to mount one? If so how and with what wing and mount?

Thanks

What wing and mount did you use? Any closer pics? I'd like to see the design.

the wing makes it a whole new truck
it handles different
more agile
and it feels like its glued to the ground

All my trucks have wings. I think they make the truck fly better in the air. And help proyect the truck when you flip over.

A wing can definately help out w/ additional downforce on the truck. You'll lose a little top speed but gain traction on the wheels where your wing is placed.

How much downfoce depends on the surface area of the wing, the grade at which it sets, and your speed.

The grade is extremely important however, if its neutral or has a "positive" lift you'll get the opposite effect, at speed. This would be a bad thing.

Decided to find a linky. This one looks pretty good, and not overly technical -> http://www.mustangsandmore.com/ubb/D...dynamics2.html
