I'm busy with a
CR conversion as well. I didn't have problems with the assembly per se, but I had and still have problems with the design of the rear antisquat setup. The FTE kit ships with a 3 degree alloy antisquat rear arm hinge plate, but it doesn't align with the front hinge plate! Whoever designed this kit took a shortcut and didn't design front hinge plates to match the antisquat angle set by the rear hinge plate. To get the rear arm hinge bolts in you either have hammer them in, or you need to switch to the plastic antisquat plates that are able to flex. Luckily the kit includes both the alloy upgrade and 3 standard plastic antisquat plates, but talk about bad design.
My other gripe with this kit is that some of the brand new ball links have slop straight after installing them... WTF.
I think I'll go Mugen next time.
