associated t4 - 05.15.2007, 11:38 PM

i've got a t4 race spec and would like to go brushless (mamba of course). i'd like to stay with nimh 6cell packs. what would be the best setup using the stock spur gear. we run on a 1/8 scale track. i was thinking about the 7700 but i've heard it's too much. how is the 4600,5700,6900 any body that has a t4 with the mamba i'd like to hear your opinion's and idea's. thanks.

The 5700 will probably be the most versatile with speed and run time. The 4600 will give more run time though, however, will be a little slower. Have you considered lipo at all? It will be hard competing at a 1/8 scale track on 6 cell, as it won't give you the speed nor run time you will want.

You have a PM.

id go 4600 for a 6 cell. less deamand on the packs and more room on efficientcy and life.

I own a 7700, 5700, and 4600. Ive tried em all. I life the 4600 for the t4.

I suffered the same decision 4600 or 5700. So I chose neither and went with Fine Design 540S-7 (5070 kv) kind of in the middle. It’s a Hacker copy with a life time warranty.

You do realize that's the same motor as this, right?

Yes I know, except it has a 3.175mm shaft (1/8).

Or are you referring to the kv rating? 5070 vs. 4567 I believe this is unloaded vs. loaded kv.

Attached is my estimated kv on my setup. Voltage and amperage were logged on my Eagle Tree during a top speed run.

Actually, I'm just bashing you a little for not buying a motor from Mike. :) Once you've been on the forums for a while, you'll be the same way.

If it is poor edict to mention other company’s products on this forum I do apologize and will be more careful in the future.

Yes, you are right. Thank you for keeping it clean here. This time we'll let it slide :)
I removed the link you posted. It's all good.

Not to flame or argue, but we'll see how that warranty works if you need it. I have not dealt with him, but a few have and were not impressed with his service on warranteed items

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

BTW, I believe that the lifetime warranty is on the bearings only.

I'm planning to start a revolution against all the bad Nemesis and Feigao motors around the world. They simply sucks. They're an absolute piracy against the brushless business.....;)
