8ight T mount now available! - 05.22.2007, 12:58 PM

I just ordered mine up. I have a .21 nitro motor that was going to go in my 8ight T. Now I'm not sure that's going to happen. Looks like it's going to be a Neu 1512 2.5d and 4S! :027:

I just ordered mine as well. I've been running mine with a homemade mount, but Mike's is so much prettier.

I'm surprised that you guys are going to be running the 1512 in the 8ight T. I've asked the 1515 vs 1512 question a few times and started a thread on it. Most responses seem to think that the 1515 is more suited to the job. Obviously, you guys think otherwise. The 1512 1.5Y is what I had my eye on.

Good point - I already have two trucks running the 1515 1y (LST2 and CRT). As much as I love those motors I think it's time to experiment a bit. The 8ight is really much lighter than the LST2 and I figure would do well for an all out racer. I would really like to settle the 1515/1512 debate for myself and draw my own conclusions. If it doesn't work in the Losi truggy I have a buggy that's been begging to go brushless.:027:

I noticed Mike has a mount for every major buggy and truggy currently available

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Does anyone know if these are 6061 or 7075?

Don't need to worry about that; they are tough as nails. They really are.. Bolt it up to your chassis and it will be the most rigid mount you've ever felt.

We'll see. I bent my last 6061 mount. I can't drive very well at all.

It says that you have to modify your radio tray to make this work. What do you have to modify?

You probably have to remove the portion of the tray for the throttle servo, so that the motor will fit, and you may have to raise the tray to clear the front drive shaft.

Lol; seems that we both suffer from the same thing! I can build 'em, but driving is a whole other story. :)
