The HV-Maxx ESC is designed to be used only with the 550 sized HV4400 motor that ships with the HV-Maxx Brushless Motor System. Connecting and operating the SS5800 or the SS4300 motors with the HV-Maxx ESC will cause the motor and/or ESC to overheat and will most likely cause damage.Using any type of motor other than the 550 size HV4400 motor that ships with the HV-Maxx Brushless Motor System (#3020) will void the warranty on the ESC and/or motor.
