Just wondering why the HB diffs are used in the RCM 1/8th scale diff conversions for the Revo and the like? Are there reasons these are preferred over some of the other manu like Mugen or Kyosho or Ofna?

Will other 1/8 diffs work? I doubt there is a std size, but just curious.

other diffs should work.

nice thing about HB diffs are hardened gears (if u get the hardened gear version of course) and also the truggy 43/10 version with spiral gears

Probably because they are good cheap setups, I'm sure Mike has a lot of them in stock and and can machine them easily

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
