HB Lightning Stadium Pro + HV MAXX - 06.21.2007, 07:15 AM

Hi guys

I am new here and new to the conversion to BL :)

I want a Hot Bodies 1/8 Lightning Stadium Pro conversion to an electro truck.
I prefer a HV Maxx 4.5 or 6.5 BL Kit with 12/14 cells.

Has anyone of you a part list for building such a car?

Spur gears and so on...
The mounting plate from here (http://rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=LSPmotormount)

Sorry for my bad english!

Thanks a lot for your help guys, best wishes from switzerland

Tom

sorry to say but, the hv's turn around 60000 rpm(:026: ), where in a lsp you would want around 35k rpm.

hi rc feraks out there :)

Thanks for the link.

I want the motor to power it with 2 packs of Intellect 4200 6 cell.
As jollyjumper has written, i need a brushless with aprox. 35k @ 14 Volt.

Can this be a Hacker C40L with 12 Turns (2500 Kv)?

Is this strong enough?

What speed can it run with this setup (40-45 mph would be enough for me).

Guess anyone?

Thank you

Tom

The c40l is definately not strong enough for a monster truck. It's about the same as a feigao 380c 12l, if you are familar with the feigaos. I've heard of a c40 12s (3600kv) being run in an emaxx, and it was cut down to 7lb using lipos and went 30 mph. The 12l will have the same power as the 12s on the same cell count, they just require different gearing.

If you want 40-45 mph in a monster truck, consider more cells or lipos. 12 nimh cells just wont cut it. I mean you could, but not reliably. There is a good chance that the batteries will overheat, and the lower the voltage, the more difficult it will be to find a motor/esc that doesn't overheat as well.
