Fianlly got some money, what to blow it on... -

I have 400 bucks, and I'd like to save 100, so that gives me 300. The question is, do I go Lipo for my Jammin CR, or do I go MM for my T4? I'll do both eventually, but I wanted to know which I'll get more wow factor from.
How big of a difference is it from 12 nimh to a 4s 5000mah max amps pack?

I would go lipo in the Jammin. I have never tried 12 cells in my buggy, since I went straight to lipo, but everyone says there is a huge increase of power. Also, you will have more speed and acceleration just from the decrease of weight.

I would do lipos
But the 5k packs WONT cut it, They dont have the current the motor needs
What is you budget for lipos only? Im shure you need more then the lipos (ballancer, Charger?)

Personally, I would go with TrueRC packs. They have the best price/performance ratio.

Yes they do. People run dual track powers in series in Emaxxes. I have a 7-8 pound buggy.
Squee, thanks for the advice, but I checked them out and With a discount I get from max amps, max amps is actually cheaper.
I'm actually considering A123 atm. 260 for 2 2s2s packs and a charger.

little more work but in the end its worth it

I'd go for FlightPowers if possible. Truely excellent packs.
BL Revo: CF G2R, LMT1940/7, 6S FP 30C Lipos, MMM, Hitec 5955TG
CRT .5: 7075 Ext Chassis, LMT1930/7, FP 25C 3S Lipos, MM

I was looking at track powers too, but how can you say that trak powers are okay and not maxamps when the track power's are 4900mah? I'm just confused here, please help me out with your reasoning.
5000mah=5 amps at 2c continuous = 100amps continuous, which is great.
Oh, and sorry VClodMaxx, I kinda just assumed it'd be okay. ;). I'll remove it if you want.

Because the trak powers WILL hold the voltage there rated for
The max amps will drop down to 15C I belive it was
Which in turn heats them up, Poor run time etc... Even cem gates had issues with the low mah max amps packs in a CRT.5! Thats like half the wieght of you buggy
