Hey guys, I have been looking around here for awhile now and i came accross a picture of someones buggy/truggy with some really nice milled mudgaurds/battery trays. The problem is i cant seem to find these pictures again. I was wondering if you might be able to steer me in the the correct direction? Thanks, Trever
I think he might be talking about the trays Mike made for a Maxx. Basically a Gmaxx chassis, then he cut off the trays and bolted machined ones on there. I remember seeing that very recently, but can't remember where either.
Well thanks for all the help guys but still havent found it. They were machined out of some type of gray plactic and acted as the battery holder and the mudguards on both sides. I belive it was in a post where they were talkin about holding in your batteries with Axial aluminum posts and clamping it in.
well my first idea was to do a 2x 2s set up. one 2s pack on each side (cause i will have 4 2s packs from my revo. I thought it might also be more balanced that way but i have realized that it will pretty close to balanced putting all the batteries on one side. Altho i think i will still stick with the 2 2s packs cause like i said i will already have them. And i dont think it will be to much of a hassle balancing them that way either. Will it? Would there be a big advantage to running a single 4s pack over 2 2s packs? Thanks, Trever
Space limitations with conversions sometimes dictate where you can put the batteries and what size they can be. My Jammin CRT conversion will use two 6-cell NiMh packs and will be upgraded to dual 2s lipos in the future. The truggy can also be easily set-up with a single 4s pack. I like the layout of the single pack location personally.
