Id recommend finding one with a 1/8" shaft instead of 5mm, but that one could work fine. To use the 5mm shaft version you would have to swap to either jato spurs and 32p pinions or revo spurs and mod1 pinions. Since the stock 48p spur will work fine for 7-8 cells, I would try to find one with a 1/8" shaft.

there is one with a 3.175mm shaft so i think that one will work. i am looking at this because i cannot seem to gear my rustler right to keep the temps down with the 7 cells with the 7700 so im shooting for a lower kv motor and i heard these motors are pretty reliable for the price.

Good motor, but very powerful, your cells will have trouble keeping up with this motor. I had one in a rustler and it would just blow the tires off the wheels. I would suggest a good 2 cell lipo, 6000mah or larger to run this motor properly. You will not be disappointed in power output, it is a beast. I even put it in an emaxx and it would wheely!!!
